Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (128 GB, green) now 33% off on Amazon

Described last year by our in-depth review as "the fusion of two smartphone models," namely the S and Note series, the Galaxy S22 Ultra remains a handset worth considering in 2023, especially thanks to the discounts currently offered by Amazon. The best deal is the 33% price drop available for the 128 GB green model, but the 31% off for the 256 GB, green Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is also tempting (discounted price of US$899.99, and US$1,299.99 list price).

The Samsung Exynos 2200-powered Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with multiple highlights, such as the 6.8-inch dynamic AMOLED with up to 120 Hz refresh, an IP68-certified glass and aluminum design that can handle fresh water submersion for up to 30 minutes at depths lower than 1.5 meters.

The Android 12-based One UI software environment comes with updates up to Android 16 and is guaranteed to receive security patches for half a decade, so those who buy it now will receive almost four year of software support.

The cameras on the back are all optically-stabilized and each features both with laser and dual-pixel autofocus, with the main one using a 108 MP sensor. The selfie shooter has 40 MP and can shoot UHD videos at 60 fps, while the main camera assembly can record 8K footage.

Last but not least, the 5,000 mAh battery provides excellent autonomy of almost 7 hours in full load with maximum brightness, as revealed by our review mentioned earlier, which also measured nearly 18 hours of battery life when running the H.264-encoded Big Buck Bunny movie at 1080p.

Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra does not ship with a charger. Thankfully, the S Pen is present in the retail package. The battery can be charged at up to 45 W with the provided USB cable, in which case a full load requires under 100 minutes.
